8FS Ribbons

Aerial Ace Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have achieved 5 or more aerial kills without dying while on a server when flying with the squadron.

Aerial Expert Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have achieved 10 or more aerial kills without dying while on a server when flying with the squadron.

Aerial Combat Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their air combat training.

Bombsite Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their bombsite training.

Distinguished Service Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have received the Distinguished Service Medal.

Flight Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their flight training.

Formation Flying training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their formation training.

Ground Attack Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their ground attack training.

Gyro Site Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their gyro site training.

Instrument Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their instrument training.

Landing Training

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their landing training.

Take-Off Training

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their take-off training.

CEM (Complex Engine Management) Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their cEM training.

Maneuver Training Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who have completed their maneuver training.

Combat Readiness Ribbon

This ribbon will be awarded to those who are classified as ready for combat action.

Distinguished Flying Cross Ribbon

this ribbon will be awarded to those who have received the distinguished flying cross medal.

Military Training Instructor Ribbon

this ribbon will be awarded to those who are qualified as an instructor.

Purple Heart

this ribbon will be awarded to those who have been shot down during combat. one ribbon will be awarded each time a person is shot down.

Silver Star Ribbon

this ribbon will be awarded to those who have received the silver star medal.

Combat Action Ribbon

this ribbon will be awarded to those who have witnessed combat action.

Medal of Honor Award

this award will be given to those who have gone beyond the call of duty in battle at high risk to their own life.

 Distinguished Service Medal

this award will be given to those who have shown exceptional meritorious service in a duty of great responsibility.

 Distinguished Flying Cross Medal

This medal will be awarded to any officer or enlisted member of the squadron who distinguishes himself or herself in support of operations by heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight.

 Purple Heart Medal

this medal will be awarded to those who have been wounded or killed while serving in combat. This will be awarded each time someone is shot down.

 Silver Star Medal

The Silver Star is awarded for gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States not justifying a higher award.
